Our Kindergarten consists of Pre – K, KG1 and KG2 classes where students generally range in the age group from 2.5 to 6 years. This is their first transition, outside their homes, to an individual and group experience outside, in the physical and real environment. Although the transition occurs in a predictable and appreciable direction, it is unique in each child taking place at varying rates from child to child.

The experiences that contribute to a child’s growth, development and learning depends on several social and environmental contexts. Every day the children are given opportunities to learn and develop through exploration, play and a variety of organized activities.

Learning and growing through play is given a lot of importance since that is the way children learn best. It is a time for children to expand their love of learning, build knowledge, develop their ability to get along with others, and explore ways of reaching out to the world

In the Kindergarten classes, our children spend their day exploring meaningful learning experiences and hands on activities that help them to acquire basic skills in a fun and active way. Students steadily focus on developing their international mindedness within themselves.

Language and numeracy development is also a major focus in the Kindergarten. The children are engaged in active dramatic play, stories, discussions, games, songs, rhymes, word play and mind problems that develop strong language skills with the help of a structured A to Z reading and writing programme and math integration. Strong language and mathematical skills are the foundation of literacy development. Students can choose either Tamil or Hindi as a second language.
